I’m Dylan Evanston, a Portland photographer shooting live music, events, and portraits. Over the last 15 years behind the camera, I’ve worked rooms including the Doug Fir, The Den, Wonderlove, REALM, Mississippi Studios, Holocene, and Kelly’s Olympian. Working on media teams for Shift Festival and the Portland Winter Light Festival many years running has honed my ability to work through the rain, dust, heat, snow, and dial in shots of performers, the crowds, art, and the spirit of the moment. In the last few years, I’ve had work in print in AAA Via, the Willamette Week, Vortex, and the Mercury.

DJ sets with shark and alien ballon drops, punk show with blood bags, 3 story volcanos shooting fire timed to the beat, Ring-Pop proposal, drag Grateful Dead cover band, masked occult basement karaoke bar wedding, airport-carpet boudoir, 100+lb Star Destroyer Framboise Ice luge - I’ve shot a lot of out there moments and I’d love to capture yours.
